Which solutions to achieve water savings?

We consume an average of 140 liters of water per day and per person. Several solutions can be proposed to save water.

 

Equip your taps with Aerators / diffusers or flow rate limiters : An easy and unexpensive solution !

This unexpensive solution can allow you to quickly do up to 60% of savings. By adding air to the water stream, the aerator reduces the amount of water you use without reducing effectiveness. Without even realizing it, you make savings.

The flow limiter is more efficient because it limits the flow rate at 6 liters per minute, whatever the pressure is. The average flow rate of a tap is 15 liters per minute.

Those solutions are all the more interesting because they are easy to install. No need to be a “handyman” to do water savings!

Choose mixer taps : Put an end to wasting energy!

Thus, no more wasted water while looking for the right temperature, even more as they are equipped with aerators. Choose a mixer tap with a marking of small and bit flow, which adapts the flow rate to the use of the moment.

The best solution is the thermostatic mixer tap, on one side you select the desired water temperature and on the other side, you adjust the flow rate.

And what about flushing toilets ?

Do you know that around 20% of your water consumption goes away in the toilets and flushing consumes between 6 and 12 liters.

Installing a dual-flush mechanism enables to choose between small or big volume, generally 3 and 6 liters, and so you significantly reduce your water consumption.

You can also install a ball valve, with a delayed opening. Thus, your toilets fill in with water only when flush and discharge is finished. This solution saves an average of 9 liters of water per day.
