Regulation of fan assy and heating circulators

In 2009, the EU has defined new performance criteria for heating pumps.

These new criteria are defined in the ErP (Energy related Products) Directive. The Directive aims at supporting the sustainable development and at lowering the environmental impact of energy-using products.

This Directive applies to heating circulators, for collective and residential applications, installed in Europe.

This new European Directive mandates, as at 1 January 2013, that all heating circulators on the marketplace meet the new energy standard : EEI (Energy Efficiency Index).

As at January 2013, the EEI must not exceed a value of 0.27, than 0.23 as at 1 August 2015.
