How to test the distant connexion and create a NAT rule for the TYDOM 1.0

When the TYDOM box is connected, the TYDOM will flash with different colors then stops on the green color. It means that the system is available locally or remotely.

The indicator light will turn green when the user will connect himself on the TYDOM App.

In this case, you will see that the indicator light is orange. When you identify yourself on the mobile app, the indicator light will flash orange

Press briefly the button on the top of the TYDOM 1.0 box to access to the diagnostic function.

If the indicator light is flashing blue two times, it means that the DHCP is ok. But the Upnp (Universal Plug and Play) is an error.

To activate the Upnp, you have to log into your personal internet account.

 

Create a NAT rule (Ex for those who have Freebox as internet service provider)

Go on your internet service provider website and log into your account.

For those who have Freebox as internet service provider, click on “My Freebox” than click on « configure my Freebox router ».

You will see that the DHCP is active.

Click on « More options ». The Upnp is active but the system is available only locally. You have to make a NAT redirection.

Click on redirection. Some fields have to be filled out such as the external port, destination IP adresses and the internal port. All the information are available from the TYDOM App.

To do it :

  • Open the mobile App TYDOM
  • Click on settings then, click on « website » then « new website ».
  • Then, click on distant access.
  • To the question, « Would you like the TYDOM configure automatically to your ADSL box », click on manual

You can get now the TYDOM 1.0 IP address

You can fill in the fields on internet service provider website

Fill in the field external port related to the «Public Port » in the TYDOM App

Check if TCP port is selected

Then, fill in the field destination IP adress with the information given on the App

To finish, fill in the field related to the Internet port on the TYDOM App

Once all the fields are filled, click on « submit ».

How to test the distant connexion?

To test the distant connexion, open the TYDOM App.

Once connected on the TYDOM App, the indicator light should be green.

Turn off your Smartphones or tablet Wifi. You will see that the App is still active which means that now you use the 3G or 4G connexion.
