Why to install a wall carbon monoxide detector ?
Carbon monoxide (CO) is a poisonous, colourless and odourless gas, result of an incomplete combustion.
It kills hundreds of people each year.
The dangerousness of CO is so high that only its presence can cause from a headache to the death, depending on inhaled rates
Where to install your carbon monoxide detector?
LThe dectector must be installed at a height of around 1,5m and at a distance from 1 to 4 meters of any burning equipment.
To install it, you need :
A pencil
A drill
A slotted screwdriver
A crosshead screwdriver
Steps to be followed :
Before starting, Turn the power off
Unscrew the cover
Put the base on the wall and mark with the pencil the position of the two fixing holes
Drill and set up pegs suited to the support
Mount the base with screws
Plug the power suppl on the 1 and 2 terminals
Close the cover with the screw
Open the cover located under the 3 LED with the slotted screwdriver and install the sensor before fixing it with the 2 supplied screws
Control the correct functioning
Keep a reasonable distance from the detector, to protect your hearing from the strong alarm sound
Control the correct functioning by pushing, during 5 seconds, the test bottom, located on the cover
LEDs light up, buzzer sounds
Close the cover
Your carbon monoxide alarm is now fully operational.
Additonal option, included in the detector
For added safety, you can also pilot your boiler directly from 8 and 9 terminals. A switch will shut down your appliance in case of carbon monoxide emissions
