A condensate removal pump is used to remove the water which is on the battery of the air conditioner. It has two main components:

  • the pump itself, drawing and ejecting water.
  • the system handling the water level (on-off-alarm)

The pump :

Pumps used today are electromagnetic systems and have excellent performance in flow and pressure. We can reach 15m elevation levels, without difficulty.

They are more and more silent (between 28 and 40dBA, at 1m from the pump).

Levels management :

There are two types of levels management : electronic management and float system management. Until now, most of the used systems were electronic ones. If they were interesting in the principle, in practice it was different : condensation water becomes polluted (greasy layer on top of the surface, algae formation, scale or sludge deposit …) conduction could not be done and we quickly faced overflows and damages.

On the opposite, float type solutions are totally independant of water quality. The float creates a magnetic field and when there is an elevation, Reed lamps switch comes.

Start/stop and alarm are managed as this principle, which guarantees an extreme reliability to these solutions.

Type Application type of collector Level in mm maximum flow in m maximum discharge en l/h maximum suction in m
SI 2750 Mini split wall ceiling up to 10Kw Flotor 3 levels On 14

10 8 25
EE 1750 Conditioner wall ceiling up to 30 Kw Flotor 3 levels On 13
Off 7

EE 1650 Conditioner with or without condensate drain pan up to 30 Kw Flotor 3 levels On 20
Off 14

40 15 3

The values of levels are average values. Take into account a tolerance of ± 2mm on every level and always plan a condensate drain pan enough high so that beyond the level Alarm, he can again contain a volume corresponding to the defrosting of the battery either to the water which will continue to pass by in case of electric power cut.
